Born In Four Months!!!

Have you heard a baby being born in 4 months, well, that is miscarriage.
Warren buffet said;
You can't produce a baby in one month by getting nine women pregnant.
What!
Yeeeees,you just can't.
And how can you be 45 yrs without having been 2yrs,13yrs,20,39,..yrs?

Remember last night or is it last night but one you had thought of becoming a millionaire overnight?
And you were not asleep dreaming?
Well, maybe you had participated in lottery.
Or you are a beneficiary of Eutobond?
You should tell us more.
How else could it have happened?

Plant flowering happens in stages.
Pregnancy happens in stages.
So does;
Business growth happen in stages.
Salvation,
Life Achievements..
And everything else.

Why do we then expect things to happen overnight like an earthquake?
Even though there are things that do not have a defined time span and they vary from one individual and circumstance to the other, there is an average time for it to happen, from statistical data.
Sometimes back I had started a business, which from my calculations,I was foreseeing massive profits.
From my little research on average to get it right a first time was proving to be hard.
But I was always asking why,if I will do it as it is expected to be?
I dived in,well,ee e e,I had set fire on the rain.I made a minute blunder that costed me the entire investment.

Time and situations have taught me to be patient with life.
Why do we want to get born again today and start ministering tomorrow?
Why do we want to fall in love today and settle in marriage tomorrow?
Why do we want to start a business today and break even tomorrow?

We have to be patient and take the stares.
One step at a time.
We have to build our stamina before we lift a heavy load.
Even though Jesus was born with all the powers it's not until the age of 30 that he started his ministry.

Lion Eating Grass!!!

The epic strategy of lions is ever amazing.
The lions perfectly know;
The power of synergy, no wonder you'll never see a lion hunting alone.
Execution strategy determines chances of winning or losing. They single out the weakest and separate it from the rest.
Despite their strength they still have enemies and a mistake can cost a life, especially the young ones.

In the jungle at times things become really rough, especially when there is drought.
The biggest question is,does a lion change it's diet to eating twigs or grasses?
In fact at such a point,I guess that is when it goes to hunt even bigger animals!
The lion is not wired to eat what other herbivorous eat.
It's just a carnivorous!

You too are wired in a certain way.
With a unique combination.
Do you know what you are wired for?
I know the idea of eating grass has never crossed the lion's mind.
It can die with grass surrounding it.
It's just not meant for grass!
You are meant for a specific flow.
Flow that you will thrive with and yield to the maximum.
Flow which oozes from within without struggle. When polished up & perfected,it comes out uniquely in you.It defines you.

Lionel Messi,a mathematics teacher.
Something is wrong with the sentence above, right?
It's just not his flow.
And even probably he can teacher, may be soccer figures.
And I know mostly this guy has other talents, but then, the one he connects instintically with is soccer.

Back to our lion, why struggle eating grass and it's system won't digest any way?
It won't be of any nutritional value.
Why are you struggling with something which is not your flow?
What are you designed for?
Why stoop to low to levels that will have negative effects on you?

At times the jungle of life is hard.
It scares.
But,that does not warrant you to go to levels you know deep inside,it's not just you!

One Only? If Only It Can Be Replayed..

It takes a singular action,word,person,decision,event...for life to just turn around.
It could be that one business deal that is going to change your wealth fortune.
It could be that one time to be elected in a leadership post that is going to change the country for the better.
It could be that innovation that is going to be revolutionary.

It took one being,Jesus Christ to bring Christianity to be.
Buddha to make Buddhism happen.
Mohammad to make Islam happen.
Confucius to bring Confucianism
Think of Facebook,it took Zuckerberg,
Disneyland,it took Walter Disney.
Apple and Steve Jobs.
The failed Nyayo 1.

And yes,it took other stake holders to make it happen, but then,I am sure without them it could not have happened.
It's worth noting it took quite a chunk of efforts, time and sacrifice to convince followers and/or customers.
On the other hand too,it only takes one to bring down what you've built for ages.
Remember what Delilah did to Solomon?
It beats me flat, how such a wise man fell. How on earth?!But it happened.
How about the many ladies who get pregnant with their first sexual encounters.Being from a humble background, stressed, they drop off school and/or gets married.
How about this banker who forgot to log off his machine for a few minutes, and a malicious colleague used it to conduct fraud. The two eventually lose their job.Did the former deserve it?
How about losing a bread winner in a tragic accident courtesy of drunk-driving?
Every decision should be well thought of,especially the ones we have control over, for a singular event can turn around fortunes.

Hold on to that which you are working on and you believe in.Fight through and keep positioning oneself, for an event can happen and it becomes the singular game changer.
Run away from that which you are doing or just about to do which when put on the light,it will bring you down like Solomon.

Strange Things.

Back in my childhood days there were strange things that used to happen.
Every time I was travelling, trees used to run in opposite direction to the vehicle. Some other times they just walked.
Clouds were also running too.
At night, while on bed and light off,and I am not asleep,I used to see things, creatures and people who were extraordinary, some with strange features, others with were huge than normal.(They must have been imaginery creation of the mind)
If, by any chance my sleep 'vacated' (many times it did) I knew it will be a scary moment.

In my school life,I was super scared of teachers. They intimidated us(by then it wasn't intimidation,I used to think that is how teachers are,or are supposed to be)
They instilled fear left, right and centre(or maybe I was just scared)
There was one called 'Stima' (nickname).
He 'did not know' how to cane ladies.
He drunkard,if you were a boy found with a mistake, mostly noise making, you could sweet talk a girl to go and be 'caned' on your behalf. For them it was fun,but if he even got hold of a boy he 'electrocute' him with butt canes. For the first time I wished I was born a girl.

I used to be called 'Sammy Boy'(got it from one tall guy who never used 'empty' his ever running nose-in fact I can't recall his name)
I had many other nick names ranging from meaningless names (or else only those who coined them, knew their meaning) like 'Sambi','Suthi','Yekeke'....etc.
At least I can recall 'Yekeke' emanated from a Somali song I really loved and used to sing.It went like,'Yekeke chukua yeke yekeke'(That is exactly how I used to hear it,but I know it sang differently)
My major concern and worry was;
When I became a husband and a father later in life, would people still call me,'Sammy Boy' ,instead of Baba so and so' ?
Mind you that was when I was still below 12.How on earth did I find myself thinking of being a husband/father at such a tender age?!

I used to see 'huge people' (of course when you are 10 yrs,a person in their 30's are huge).
I wondered will ever get beards like them!Become tall like them.
And most importantly,reach age twenties!
Why age twenties? It's because it seemed success and achievements, the earliest they could begin was in twenties.

Now I am in my mid twenties,strange things are still happening;
Threats from the bosses...
The ecstatic feeling of being in love and marriage beckoning.(5yrs or so?-Hi,Love?--wink)
Uncertainty of what will happen to the business venture once I implement..
......
At every stage in life 'strange things' will be happening. From my humble experience I've learnt, life keeps on unfolding day by day.Unfolding as per God's wish and our decisions. One thing remains despite everything,DON'T DARE GET SCARED.
Face the bull by it's horn,for a time is coming when you'll look back and ask yourself;
What was I scared of about my teachers?
Why did the trees stop running against the vehicles direction?
Won't even be fun to be called Sammy Boy even in my 50's?

'For I, the LORD your God, will hold your right hand, saying to you, 'Fear not, I will help you.'
(Isaiah 41:13)

It's Never Enough.

When I was a young boy,way back in primary school,I used to play soccer, and even now, given a chance,I'd still play it.I love it.I used to play till my knees pained, and even when in pain I still limped chasing the ball.
Also I never missed watching Harambee Stars play,I literally felt the pain when we lost.It was total anguish.
Then I realized I'm hurting myself for nothing.
I stopped watching them play, since most of the time they disappointed.
Soccer was never enough.

It's never enough.

We eat delicious meals, but if it's not nutritious,or it's poisonous,we will ultimately experience the effects.
Now,or in the future.
But we will continue getting hungry even after eating a nutritious meal.
The stomach can never be full.
The glands in the tongue, would prefer all the sweet stuff there is in life.
And even though the doctors have warned they are harmful to health,we don't care.
For our tongues, keep wanting it,it's never enough.

You will be walking in the streets admiring all the beautiful things.
You will be tempted to turn to see that brown lady, short dressed or showing the entire map of the world.
Well,if she is attractive to the eyes, she is,but what about the heart?
Is she attractive to it.
And the mind?
And if she is,what about your wife or the lady you are committed to,who not only won your eyes, but your heart and mind.
And tell you what?
There will always be beautiful people.
The eyes,will never get enough.

The beats are pleasing, even though the message is vulgar or dirty.
The lies are orated.
We wish to listen to what favors us or justifies our actions.
The ears will never get enough.

The touches were tricky.
The nerves ticked.
The body shivered.
We yearn for the same, again and again.
For the the gentle touches will never be enough.

The aroma whets our appetite.
The fragrance, sweet and sleepy.
For the sweet smell is never enough.
It's not enough and and never will be
.
Exploration of what our senses want will remain to be a mirage.
Even after gratifying them,we will still need more and more.
The minute we seek to go deeper and deeper in the quest to satisfy our senses, the more we will realize how futile it is.
The emptiness will never leave us.

We have to pursue something bigger than our senses,we have to yearn to feed our hearts with the pure thoughts and information,so that we can sieve what our senses can be enticed to.
If we keep on falling into the demands of our senses,we will keep on chasing wind, and getting deeper and deeper into the road of unsatisfaction.
The road that will ultimately lead to more misery and killing the conscience.

And I can't help but remember Dunstin Kensrue's song,It's Not Enough

Lyrics;
Though all the wealth of men was mine to squander
And towers of ivory rose beneath my feet
Were palaces of pleasure mine to wander
The sum of it would leave me incomplete
Though every soul would hold my name in honor
And truest love was always by my side
My praises sung by grateful sons and daughters
My soul would never still be satisfied

It's not enough, it's not enough
I could walk the world forever
Till my shoes were filled with blood
It's not enough, it's not enough

Though I could live for all to lift them higher
Or spend the centuries seeking light within
Though I indulged my every dark desire
Exhausting every avenue of sin

It's not enough, it's not enough
I could walk the world forever
Till my shoes were filled with blood
It's not enough, it's not enough
I could right all wrongs, or ravage
Everything beneath the sun
It's not enough, it's not enough

To make me whole
It's not enough, it never was
Awake my soul
It's not enough, it never was

It's not enough, it's not enough
I could walk the world forever
Till my shoes were filled with blood
It's not enough, it's not enough
I could right all wrongs, or ravage
Everything beneath the sun
It's not enough, it's not enough
Though all would bow to me
Till I could drink my fill of fear and love
It's not enough, it's not enough.

Life Can Turn Around,Always Be Thankful.

For once he is in Kiambu town. Never before had he been here, the furthest he had gone was Paradise Lost.

Randy had wanted to attend a service at an Anglican Church, but the matatu had stopped over severally to drop and pick up passengers along Kiambu Road and by the time he was in Kiambu town, it was some minutes past 11am.

He opted not to go for ACK but the quest to fellowship was high. He could hear some people singing and praying nearby. He passed through the open market via one entry and on exiting the other, he saw a tented place of worship.

He got in as the usher directed him where to sit.

People prayed vehemently as others fell, indicative of being filled with the Holy Spirit. He prayed too.

The prayers session was done, one of the leaders introduced the Church as being aligned to 'The only true and last end time prophet (I'm not sure, how truthful that description was).
He left.
The visiting hours to the hospital were drawing near. He got into a hotel and got something to eat as he perused the newspaper.

'Nothing new, only negative news.War,road accidents, hate speech'.

After eating, he left and walked towards the hospital using the pedestrian path.

He made a call on direction of the ward which led him directly to his uncle's bed.
His was emaciated. He looked at Randy and couldn't recall his voice nor his face.

"This is Randy, son of your sister Eunice", he was introduced.
"Ooooh, Randy has kept quiet, ee, ee, I wonder why he does...that", he uttered as he shook his head.
Randy embarked on giving an account of how he had just graduated last year and how he has been looking for opportunities.

Decision was reached, he had to be transferred to another hospital.

Randy got deep into thoughts of how life can change in a whisker. His charming uncle was now bedridden.
He remembered the visits he had made to Kenyatta Hospital to encourage others in worse conditions. Being healthy and kicking is a precious gift we take for granted at times. No one pays to be sick. It's never anyone's choice to be ill.

If one has ever been ill, having a relative who is ill or lost a close relative, we know life can really turn around.
When one wakes up, lets remember to give thanks for life and life.
