With preparations made and the house as secure as possible, I'm ending the day with a mix of anticipation and apprehension. Later today will undoubtedly be a day of heightened emotions and uncertainty. I hope for the best while bracing for whatever the hurricane may bring. Until then, I'll keep a close watch on the weather updates and hold onto the sense of community that's come alive in the face of this impending storm.
