I've had the privilege like most of us have had,of talking with millionaires. But there is a 'unique' category of people. When they get a chance they start asking questions like,'How to make a good CV','What are some of the questions asked during interviews','Can you get me a job or a connection of a job'...I must confess I find this ridiculous. What business does a millionaire have to do with the gimmicks that happen during interviews or to get jobs instead of making another million? I think it's only that they shy away from calling us stupid. It's like going to a spiritual leader to inquire about a medical condition or mortgage, they will only pray and 'libainasaikayokutaichi' for us,but that's faith without action which is dead.
We throw parties to friends spend a few thousands for this, but has it ever crossed my mind to invite for lunch one of the many millionaires we have in town? Not that I will be trying to impress(any way what is there to impress them) but I'm just creating a network and life time changing lessons. They will feel honored if not humbled by your request and they will squeeze out the juices from them.
One day I spent an afternoon with a business mentor who has created a system that makes him money even when absent.when I asked him what he does with his time,he responded,'Thinking'. Who am I not to learn from those who have already made it and thought about what we are about to think. They are willing to show you how they've made it and how we too can make it.
But when we get that chance, let them not feel like we have wasted their precious time by asking questions one could have visited uncle Google or some HR experts. The questions below can help us reap more...
(1)How did you make your first million?
(2)How long did it take you?
(3)How long would it take today?
(4)What is the system used to grow wealth?
(5)Is the system transferable and how long would it take?
(6)The most important lesson you've learnt so far and mistakes made?
(7)What are spiritual values in your life?
(8)What legacy you want to leave?
(9)What are the most important habits to get there/
(10)What opportunities do you see?
...the list can be longer
Let's have a more open mind.
Have an awesome lunch with a millionaire,it will be a delicious I can assure you.

It's 9pm,I'm preparing my ugali at Meru 36,I'm wondering why is my ugali making funnier noise today, anyway,Physics was not my subject and connecting the sounds made when cooking and measuring the decibels is not in my mind.On finishing, stop imagining!,what you think was happening was happening in one of the rooms. And my night was,eeeh...
I'm cleaning dishes,I can be able to differentiate the smell of Shisha and herb from the smell of a stinking loo.
The drink looks like a soda, but from his behaviors either the soda has expired or deliberately contaminated.
When she opens up her mouth you can be sure there will be heavy words, the latest such that only Lucifer can decipher.
'Is that Mwakenya',my my my... 'I wish he went for programming that's where coding happens!'I exclaimed.
'Please come over for supper',That was a perfect invitation.I like when the burden of cooking is offloaded from me.I majestically walk to her premises. On entering,wa wa,I was about to black out,'I'm sorry to enter while you were dressing,I can excuse myself so that you dress up',I turned back to close the door,'Sam,stop that,I'm dressed just get in',Huu I knew it's gonna be the longest supper time I've ever had,but in one way or the other I survived the 'wrath'.
....Not to mention extreme rave the 'Sabina Joy' like,House parties,..............
These are just but examples of the things that happen in our campuses.I know the 3rd yrs are very happy to be allotted a single room, but that could be the worst thing that ever happened to you in your entire life if you are not cautious.I thank God to have escaped by whisker the temptations. Many fell victims of circumstances and are bitter of the aftermath.May they find solace.
Those things that we were being told about campus to be cautious about when one was joining in first year are real.I witnessed. If you have not yet seen or heard, strive hard not to experience them.Campus has anything one wants and one can easily get.Just choose.
I'm thankful to God to have heard my gentle prayer that I said when entering the gates of Campus my first day.I walked with Him and grew. That's the only thing that salvaged my four years of stay.Temptations were many, others seemed irresistible, but when one has a strong why to or not to,it becomes easier.
I can only prescribe the same dose to,you can be sure you will never be disappointed. What the Bible says you do just meekly follow, that calls for one making it their reference diary.I also realized that when your conscience sends a red signal just stop, there could be danger ahead.

Hello World

Dear World,
Greetings,
Now, now, now...Let me see, how/where do I even start.
Mmmmh,
I've been away from reality since I was born up to the date mentioned above. For all those years I had an almost sure perfect fallback position. If faced with a challenge there was a kind of subscribed support system that had never failed me.
Here I'm. It has come to that point I can no longer beat around the bush assuming that you know my situation.(I know you know it but you’ve assumed awaiting my reaction )The harsh reality is I come to you with debts in the name of HELB, I come with ideal life scenarios since birth, I come with ambiguity of what next (I mean how can I be very sure with your radical nature, massive competition, corrupt nature).
Yesterday, you were funny if not harsh. I just wanted to watch the game between Real Madrid and Bayern Munich 2nd leg, first leg I watched at the comfort of my sitting position almost reserved at no pay and a bigger screen, but, you know what you did yesterday, that I had to pay for almost a 100bob for 300ml soft drink so that I can watch that game. Seriously!, I mean can’t you understand I’m yet to make big monies. Today the same fate befalls me as Jose Mourinho face off with Diego Simeone.
I know this is just but your introduction of the hurdles to come but do you think I’ll just let you twist and turn me, No. In fact I’m armed big time with several weapons; God, Honesty, Confidence, Entrepreneurial spirit and Dynamism, that’s all that can give me an edge in your presence. For the papers eeeh, eeh you know what happened between me,books, Nduati with his CSIA(but I’ve got life papers, you know)
Let me warn you if you will not be fair with the way you treat me, I’ll humble you in a manner you’ll hate me, your ways can be torturous. You are mightier but with the instruments above you can be sure, you have a huge set back.
Vrooom!, Let’s go.

The ExtraOrdinary
There is something that apparently stand out for all those who are considered successful in their lives starting with Jesus to other world achievers;Nelson Mandela,Wangari Maathai, Steve Jobs,Lee Kuan Yew...They had some traits,here are 5 of those traits;
Photocredit:Pinterest
1.Status Quo DisruptionThey were not comfortable with their current situation of the environment and nations.
They did not just sit and watch things happening or just got complacent with the cocoon. They went an extra mile to disrupt the commonly held belief.
2.Impacting on Life of Others
While they were busy chasing their visions, they indirectly or directly brought positive mark to the society.Their dreams were bigger than themselves. It was not just what is in it for me but what is in it for the masses.
3.They Believe in their Own Ideas and Visions
It looked like a far fetched idea when Martin Luther Jnr was fighting for the rights of black Americans...now what can the racists say now? They were ready to die and others have even died pursuing their burning Visions.
4.Ready to Ignore Conventional Wisdom
Everyone thought the world was flat until Columbus proved otherwise. When M-Pesa came to being everyone was asking where will money be traveling through.
5.More than Average Risk Tolerance
Remember Job in the Bible who was willing to continue 'risking' his Faith in God despite losing his all.

Who Is Your Friend?
I listened to one Tom Makale, the CEO ,Unique Loos give his speech at (Business Entrepreneurship & Innovation ( BEI) conference at UoN,School of Business,I liked. He was drilling us to start thinking critically about life rather than the shadow perspective of life.
....One of the issues he brought out clearly are the people we need to connect ourselves with.We should connect with people who;
1.Are goal-oriented
This entails looking at how realistic and futuristic one is. Also looking at what they are doing now and assessing the course of their lives. They live a purpose driven life.Planning their lives carefully.
2.Bring the best in you
They are not jealous or dwell on the negative side of you but they show us we are equal top the task. They let our talents, abilities and skills sprout.Make us stand out
3.Support us
Not all the times things go well on our side.We need a shoulder to lean on and a helping hand.True connections always stand by our side in tough times.
4.Correct us.
When we go wrong, they don't just keep quiet or just take it lightly. They reprimand us in a gentle way.
5.Challenge us
If you are the best among the people close to you, there is a big reason to worry, you will never grow!
We should associate with people who are wise, adventurous and passionate of what they do.
6.Have Faith in God
If one doesn't believe in a super natural being, the creator of all. They are too full of themselves, that's danger in waiting keep them off your life. They should share the same value system with us.
Now,the connections we have turn out to be our friends and as Rim John said:'We are the average of the five people we spend most time with'.Very true,I don't see how one can join Barcelona and play long pass balls, reason being on average every player is doing the short tic-tac passes, total football.
Our network too becomes our net worth.
Random Thoughts I
- Harness Creativity
-Let the Mind wander by doing something undemanding.
- "Whatever that is chasing you determines the speed you will learnt at"-Unknown
- Prayers have the power to: Humble us,Work miracles,Get rid of carnal mind,Make our lives clear.
- ''Umuntu ngumutu ngabantu"-I am because you are, because we are.
- Small things done consistently have immense power.
- Everything that you are enjoying someone thought of it and made money from it.What are you thinking?
- Think what you can do that is different from everyone else.
- Your Idea may not make sense to anyone else apart from you.

Love Was The Only Mistake.
But slowly they become close and close. I mean very close
for one to call them friends was an understatement. They could feel their
emotional indirect investment growing and the need for diversifying the
portfolio of relating too was becoming eminent.
The dude paused, contemplated about the plans he had in mind, the beauty and the dangers that lay
ahead. His logic went like this;Bearing in mind I’m not looking for a lady to
just have fun with but a life time partner, wants to settle in probably in the
next five years, will I not be lying to commit?…He also had a spirit of adventure
and loves to travel and as I know him, he can settle anywhere on this
planet, settle with anyone as long as they share the same values system(but
biased to Asians and Europeans).
The lady was irresistibly
beautiful(physically,spiritually),socially okay,financially she has massive
potential, mentally at her age she was good and looking for a challenge. The only problem was that emotionally she was ugly and needed
plastic surgery or make up.
Whatever one can call it,Love/Infatuation/Lust is funny and
confusing. The Lady was completely submerged into Museikuna’s way of life She
loved with her all, felt accomplished, threatened how life is turning to be
useless,’When I love it hurts, when I fail to love it hurts too’,she said.
Now the quagmire began, the two perceive love and care
from opposite direction.
One party is
glad to have to have a sister and a friend while the other party is joyous to
have a friend and a more than a friend. An equilibrium had to be reached.
It was a cool breezed afternoon, having been tired of their state they decided
to work things out.It was a win-win situation, with no heart aches they decided
to be best of friends without attaching or committing strings to each other. They
are now free to make any decision pertaining their relationship life.
I wish them well and congratulate them.
At times we find ourselves in such a crisis-cross, maybe the
people we want to be in our lives are not ready, are not interested with our
request, are not sure if they really want us in their lives, are interested but
interested more in others than us,have duo interests…and all manner of
confusion.Kenny Rogers in his gambler song says:..You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em,
Know when to walk away and know when to run... knowin' what to throw away and knowing what to keep..
Know when to walk away and know when to run... knowin' what to throw away and knowing what to keep..
This demands wisdom and discernment there are life issues we
should not fable around with.
